Saint Vincent Academy can help to shape your future.
Academic excellence, sisterhood and service are the hallmarks of an SVA education. If you are willing to work hard, to follow the guidance of teachers committed to your well-being, and to respect and care for others, then we hope that you will apply for our freshman class or one of a limited number of openings in the 10th, 11th or 12th grades.
General criteria for acceptance
Students accepted into the freshman class:
Are recommended strongly by their elementary school principal
Have a grade point average of at least a C
Have a good attendance record
Have satisfactory standardized test scores
However, just as every SVA student is treated as a unique individual, we look at every applicant, her elementary school record, and her personal circumstances individually.
Applying to Saint Vincent Academy for admission to 9th grade in 2020-21
We recommend that you attend an Open House.
September - Early October 2020: Register to take High School HSPT Admissions Test. PLEASE NOTE THAT DUE TO COVID-19 THERE WILL BE NO HSPT TEST THIS YEAR
Friday, November 8, 2019: Take the HSPT test and list Saint Vincent Academy (COOP ID #815) as your first choice. PLEASE VIEW IMPORTANT ADMISSION DOCUMENTS FROM THE ARCHDIOCESE BELOW.
December 09, 2020 Deadline for submission of SVA application and Tuition Aid application, which must include your official elementary school records (grades, standardized test scores and attendance reports for grades 6,7,8). PLEASE NOTE THERE IS A SEPARATE ADMISSIONS APPLICATION FOR THE PROMISE SCHOLARS PROGRAM. PLEASE VISIT THE PROMISE SCHOLARS PAGE TO LEARN MORE.
January 15, 2020: You will be informed by letter of our decision regarding your application.
Saturday, January 18, 2020: On-site registration, with payment of $200 non-refundable registration fee, a copy of your birth certificate, Social Security Card, and Immunization record. THIS DATE IS SUBJECT TO CHANGE.
