A Message From
Our Vice Principal

Dear St. Vincent Academy Community,
It is with great respect and gratitude that I write to introduce myself as the new Vice Principal of St. Vincent Academy. I am honored to join a school community so deeply rooted in faith, academic excellence, and care for the whole child, and I look forward to serving alongside you in the year ahead.
By way of introduction: I am Brazilian American, and I was born, raised, and educated here in Newark. This wonderful city instilled in me an enduring belief in the potential of every student, regardless of background or circumstance. Over the past fifteen years, I have had the privilege of serving as an English and Bilingual educator across diverse school communities in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and upstate New York. This work has given me a deep appreciation for the role that language, culture, and faith play in a student’s growth, and has shaped my commitment to educational equity, thoughtful instruction, and family partnership.
I approach this new role with the conviction that education is, at its heart, a vocation — one dedicated not only to academic achievement but to the formation of character and faith. As Scripture reminds us, “Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it” (Proverbs 22:6). I hold this charge with humility, and I recognize that it is one this community has long embraced.
In the weeks ahead, I look forward to meeting our students, families, and faculty, and to becoming an active and visible presence within our school community. My office door will always be open, and I welcome the opportunity to connect with each of you.
Thank you for the gracious welcome I have already received. I look forward to the good work we will accomplish together this year, in service to our students and to the mission of St. Vincent Academy.
Sincerely,
