Student Ambassador
A Student Ambassador is a 10th - 12th grade student chosen to represent Saint Vincent Academy to prospective students and their families throughout the admissions process. Student ambassadors will act as liaisons between the school staff, the current student body and those considering SVA. Student Ambassadors will often help in various ways- speaking with guests of SVA about their experience, assisting with campus tours, offering Q&As with candidates and their families, and staying in touch with newly admitted students throughout the enrollment process. They’re present during open houses, campus tours, accepted student day, freshman for a day and orientation events. Additionally, student ambassadors will be called on to perform other duties as the Admissions Office sees fit. Interested students must apply to become a Student Ambassador in May. They must be in good academic standing and be a positive role model within the school community. The Student Ambassador admissions process includes an application and a mini tour.

Peer Leadership
Peer Leadership is an organization that selects positive student role models from a field of applicants and helps them develop leadership skills that they will use while working with the freshmen class. Throughout the year leaders (with the guidance and support of their moderator) will create discussion sessions and activities that will help the freshmen class understand the mission and adapt to the expectations of St. Vincent Academy.
Students who are selected as Peer Leaders are expected to remain in good academic standing with satisfactory grades. Peer Leaders must be positive role models and maintain good character in and out of school including social media behavior. They must be able to attend weekly planning meetings. Peer Leaders are expected to support school activities and events throughout the school year. This commitment is an enormous responsibility and if behavior, grades and participation are not satisfactory membership will be jeopardized.
Goals of the organization:
-
Identify positive student role models
-
Promote cross grade advising
-
Develop a deeper sense of community support
-
Encourage a positive school climate aligned with the mission of Saint Vincent Academy
