There are many opportunities for alumnae and other friends to serve as mentors to students or to volunteer in other capacities on one-time or ongoing basis.
Make a contribution
Because we want to keep SVA’s annual tuition ($4,900 in 2012-2013) within reach of families in Newark and surrounding neighborhoods, tuition income represents only about half of the real cost of an SVA education. Generous alumnae and other friends, foundations and corporations help us to make up the difference through their gifts to our annual and scholarship funds and their support of our special events and other fundraising efforts. The families of our current students also must meet an annual fundraising goal.
You can help in many ways:
A gift to our annual fund helps to offset the day-to-day costs of running our school.
A gift to our student aid and scholarship fund enables us to make an SVA education possible for students whose families are poor or struggling. From year to year, 50 percent or more of students receive financial aid over and above the support that every student receives by virtue of the difference between tuition and actual costs. You can designate a gift to the Sister Eileen Bradshaw Scholarship Fund using the Donate Now Link to the left on this page.
