By combining high quality academic instruction with religious faith and values, SVA prepares today’s young women for the immense challenges of tomorrow’s world. We encourage our students to use their individual gifts from God to build a better life for themselves and their communities. Our academic program is rigorous, our standards are high and our students are challenged to excel in everything they do.

Our college preparatory requirements
include:


- 4 1/2 years of English
- 4 years of religious studies, physical education and health
- 3 1/2 years of math
- 3 years of social studies
- 2 years of a world language
- 2 years of lab sciences
- 1 year of keyboarding and basic word processing

 
Introductory courses in art, computer technology, current events, music and dance, writing workshop and career orientation, as well as a broad array of elective courses, round out the curriculum and recognize the individual interests and talents of our 300-plus young women. Electives may include:
